I've been taking sports shots for a number of years
now. I really enjoy catching and freezing the
actions, almost as much as the players and their
parents enjoy seeing them.
I've also enjoyed taking candid/semi-candid
children's portraits for many years. I practice on my
own children all the time, but they seem to know I'm
always taking pictures, so those are the semi-candid
shots. I love catching kids in their glory, having fun
or just sitting and thinking, their true selves shining
through! I find those pictures much more satisfying
(to the parents as well) than the posed,
uncomfortable ones.
